Before Color Consultation: Left and After: Above
Choosing the right colors can be tricky and frustrating.
Color is a powerful aspect of your home’s design. The paint colors you select influence the atmosphere of your space and your well-being, affecting everything from mood and energy levels to overall health.
Selecting paint requires expertise, as colors transform dramatically depending on the direction (Northern exposure adds a cool tone versus Southern exposure tends to warm up paint colors) and quality of natural light entering each room.
We help you navigate these complexities by first understanding your emotional goals—whether creating an energizing living area or a tranquil bedroom retreat—then narrowing down today's overwhelming color options to find your perfect palette.
-
We have an easy questionnaire for you to fill out to help kickstart the process.
-
You will upload photos to your client portal.
These photos aid in understanding lighting and any existing fixtures/finishes we need to coordinate with.
-
We email you 2 different moodboard options. Select your favorite and we will start selecting specific color samples.
-
We order and send samples directly to your home, with instructions on how to display these.
Take note of how the colors change in different lighting throughout the day.
-
Together we review your top 3 you and finalize your palette.
These will be sent on a paint specification form with color manufacturer, name, number and sheen.
Our Process Makes Color Selection Easy

Before Exterior Hadley Hill - The orange stain of the cedar draws out the orange stone and the green undertone in the paint.

After Exterior Hadley Hill - For a NW (metal) sitting house we white-washed the stone, painted lintels, posts and beams mid grey.

Before Exterior Back

After Exterior Back - Screened porch added off of great room to make the porch feel more substantial. Cedar posts painted grey.

Before Front Porch

After Front Porch - corbels added, accent door color, posts & lintels painted. We added a kickplate to the door, repeating the shape of the lintels.

Before Shelves, darker shelves than the base cabinets.

We painted the base cabinets to ground them in a color that lifted the room and the shelves a light color to brighten the space.

Before Front Door & Foyer - Pine casings distracted your eyes

After Front Door & Foyer: The door trim and door were painted the same color; pine casings were painted a little bit darker than the wall color.

Before Front Door Exterior

After Front Door Exterior - Painted lintel, door and added kick plate
